Can Anyone Recommend Software For Designing Metalwork(Preferably Free!)

Featured Replies

Afternoon All,

I have come up with a design involving thin metal pipes to secure my hosereel and a few garden tools to an outside wall, that I want to email to a few local tradesmen, with sizes and widths for costing purposes.  Can anyone recommend software for this?  I have Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010, is there any software in there that I could use?

Many thanks,

Fin

Could you do it with Google Sketchup?

Sorry, can't be much more help with completely free alternatives. Otherwise I'd point you in Autodesk's direction (in fact have a browse on their site; they have 30-day trials if that's enough for you to get a one-off job done...)

Many thanks for the responses. I was even contemplating using wire coat hangers!

"THANKS, VWD.

WILL GIVE THAT A TRY AS WELL."
