I just bought an Octavia and I'm unsure of what version it is (Octavia I, II etc.). Does anyone have a link to the something explaining the different types?

 

My original impression was that there is a Mk1 and Mk2, the Mk2 being 2004 onwards, but the Mk2's have the 2.0 TDi; I'm guessing I have a late Mk1? Was there a facelift for the Mk1?

 

Sorry about the noob question, but this is my first Skoda (my first VAG machine infact) and I'm a bit confused lol

 

My Octavia is a 2004 1.9 TDi 130 btw.

mk1 has seperate indicators on the front mk2 have them intergrated with the headlight unit if that's any help.

 

I have an 04 reg mk1 think the mk2 came out on the 54 plate but 2004 was the crossover year

It's a mk1

They still made them many years after yours as taxi cars

An Ambiante 130 is always a late facelift mk1 (although the mk1 did indeed continue as a taxi special for most of the life of the mk 2).
