Hi,

Please be gentle as my first post. I have decided to take the plunge and get myself an Octavia VRS!

I test drove a diesel FL DSG couple of years ago and loved it but will be going for the petrol TSI FL due to horrendous problems with a golf 170 dpf which I was glad to see the back of.

The help I'm hoping for from briskoda memebers is advice on what to watch out for and be wary of. Also the eternal dilema of DSG v Manual. (I would prefer DSG but how reliable are they on the petrol FL?)

Finally I saw on auto trader a VRS with what appear to be black anthracite seats (photo attached) is that standard on run out models because I think they look awesome without the sliding around you get with leather seats!

Any help appreciated and hopefully in a few months may see you at a Briskoda meet!!

Never see that sort of seats before....

looks like its had a retrim a very nice job too
