EML ON! HELP! P1141, P0172

Featured Replies

I had a skoda fabia for a year and nothing ever went wrong on

i now own a seat ibiza

it has the same engine as the new skoda fabia engine

CGP engine code

there seems to be running rough on cold starts!

if driving down the road then at the end of the road and if i was to brake the car will just turn of, judder and turn off

now that the weather around Britain is improving the problem is starting to go down to a minimum

it is hardly noticeable but never the less

the problem still occurs

these are the faults that are coming up through VAGCOM

Not sure about the faults, but you want to watch you're advertising the fact you have a knock off version of VCDS. ;)

Its does the Job  ;)

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to your problem, but would like the moderators to confirm whether the supporting the use of a counterfeit VCDS is acceptable.  I know that such behaviour is frowned upon in the VCDS/diagnostics section.

17549/P1141/004417 - Load Calculation Cross Check: Implausible Value

Possible Causes

  • Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) OR Manifold Pressure Sensor (G71) faulty

Vacuum Lines faulty

Possible Solutions

  • Check Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) OR Manifold Pressure Sensor (G71)

Check Vacuum Lines

Check Engine Operating Conditions => Meas. Blocks

Special Notes

  • Uwe: I think this code is set when the airflow being measured (or otherwise calculated) by the ECU doesn't make sense given other operating parameters such as RPM and throttle opening, manifold pressure, etc.

16556/P0172 - System Too Rich, Bank 1 Possible Symptoms
  • Irregular behaviour
Possible Causes

  • Fuel system
  • Excessive fuel pressure
  • Leaking or contaminated fuel injectors
  • Leaking fuel pressure regulator
  • Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel
  • Vapor recovery system
  • Air leaks after the MAF
  • Vacuum leaks
  • Improper seated engine oil dipstick
  • Stuck EGR valve
  • Oil overfill
  • Cam timing
  • Cylinder compression
  • Exhaust leaks before or near HO2Ss.

sounds to me as if you have a air leak somewhere , or a dodgy sensor

Don't know where this idea of a "counterfeit vcds" comes from, vcds lite is freely available for use with any lead you like, according to Ross Tech.

In the meantime let us consider the fact we may be depriving poor Skoda technicians and salemens and dealer executives and their families of their food by even being here at all.
