Columbus video option greyed out...

Hi All, I'm newly signed up to the page., although used it in the past to find answers and found it extremely helpful

Unsure if anyone can help me and apologies if this question has been answered already...

I have a Skoda Superb with a Columbus head unit fitted. I purchased from eBay, an external video input box so I can run in a separate media player. wven with everything plugged in correctly, power + & -, can bud leads and multi core cable, it still wouldn't allow me to tick the video in box in the head unit menu.

After some reading up online, it seems that the video in box it greyed out as it needs to be set up and unlocked by using the diagnostics equipment on the car. Has anyone else has this issue with the video box being greyed out? If so, how did you get round it? Any advice would be really helpful ;-)
