Seat Leon 55 plate

Featured Replies

I am looking into getting one of these to replace the fabia (mk1) I have. Its going to be the 2nd car as we have an S max already. I remember someone had one and wad not to happy with it, does anyone else own one or has driven one that can offer a point of view. Going for a diesel one

There have been quite a few threads on here related to the Leon over the years, most of them contained issues around water ingress if I remember correctly?

I had an 05 plate FR tdi. Was a nice looking car and made 196bhp with a remap only!

Can only speak from experience. Wife has a low mileage fsh mk1 that has been the single most problematic vehicle I've ever owned. No serious issues but the list of niggles is now getting stupid. They look nice and the interior is ok but I wouldn't have another. Ironic since my Octy is based on the same platform but the Spanish build quality just isn't there IMHO.

They use the same parts

Just luck of the draw my friend. Your wifes must have been a friday afternoon build. Nothing to do with seat build quality

Must have been put together during a siesta [emoji1]

I'm on my 7th SEAT and never had any problems with them. I had a Toledo but not a leon. I was recently running an 04 plate Arosa which needed a few bits but just wear and tear items.

The mk2 leon doesn't seem to have many probs. as said they share parts so the 1.9 pd will be the same unit as was in the Slodas.

Have a look on Seatcupra.net

Thanks guys. Not sure whether it will be a mk1 or mk2, will depend on space as got 2 boys with a girl on the way. So we need something to seat baby, wife and 1 of the boys in the back. I will go look at the local garage.
