Cam any tell me the dimensions of a standard mk1 octavia vrs backbox box please, pics would be great too

I'm planning on making a straight through pipe for it but don't know the dimensions

Is that 1200mm long?

Also is that where it separates or have you cut it off there?

What size bore is the system?

Yep 1200mm long. The stock exhaust is one piece and has to be cut off.

There are marks on it where it should be cut but the idiot who fitted my Piper cut it there instead, despite me showing him the marks.

Ah that's a shame :/

Id imagine it would sound pretty pants with just a single middle box?

Yeah that sounds how I want it

As you can see all he did was remove backbox and extended the pipe and put tailpipe on it. Easy job for an exhaust place

I prefer to diy but I might have to see what a garage will charge because the pipe I have is not long enough :(

There is a local company who make custom exhausts who are decent but they charge 90quid for one of those backboxes

At least you know it will have warranty and hopefully lifetime

Problem is, I have mot due soon and rather not spend 90 on a exhaust until I know it's passed lol
