I've just converted to a set of golf 4 aero wiper arms this weekend. Passenger side is perfect but the drivers side seems to kind of 'wobble' on the way up (yet cleans fine) but on the down swipe it smears a bit where the wiper attaches to the arm. Blades are brand new Bosch ones. Is this to be expected? Anyone else had the same issue?

I've had it off to reposition it a couple of times but no better. On the off chance the arm is slightly bent I might try and bend it back a bit but not sure if I need to make it closer to the screen or slightly further away...

Most have had that problem with the aero blades on the standard Octavia wiper arms including myself. That's why i bought the proper mk4 aero wiper arms and I've had no issues at all brilliant upgrade. It might be a stupid question but is the arm tight on the shaft? It does seem odd your having trouble.

I JUST LUBED UP THE SPRING AND BENT THE ARM A TINY BIT WORK PERFECT

Well I noticed driving in yesterday that the point where the blade attaches wasn't quite parallel with the screen like it was on the passenger side - bit of a bend later and it's now perfect and no smearing. 

 

It's also a highly recommended mod, looks awesome and much better wiping! Thanks both
