Fabia - passenger door lock barrel loose & boot lock is sticky

Two issues I've been having which I'd appreciate the value of your experience on-

Mine is a 2000 1.4 MPI 8v Fabia, the boot release is a small lever near the driver's door sill, I believe cable operated. The first time I pull the lever, the boot will lift up about half an inch but then remains closed, can pop it up and down half inch but it won't open until I either use the boot release lever several times, or the more effective way I do it is to jam something under it, so the lever is all the way up. Then I have to remove the jammed object before I can close it again as the lock is held open obviously. I've tried lubricating various bits of the locking mechanism etc. with 3 in 1. It's worth noting that once it has opened properly it will continue to do so for a little while, so it seems that something is gumming up over time and then sticks it shut again ?

My passenger door key lock doesn't work (can be locked/unlocked from inside), and the lock barrel (I presume that's what you would call it - flush to the door where the key goes in) is actually loose and can be pulled out of the door about half inch. You can push it back in but it never quite goes back flush. Any way to fix these, particualrly with the same keying or would it have to be a new barrel altogether - are these easy to fit?
