DTUK CRDT box

Featured Replies

I am now getting my car remapped, so have this box for sale

This has the red and green gaskets, (and labelled as CRDe) which you can use to show power or economy if required for insurance purposes

This is for the CR diesel 170 hp and claims to add an extra 35+ bhp plus around 50+ Nm torque

This really makes a big difference across the rev range and makes the car a pleasure to drive.

One part of the wiring loom rubbed against a fan and the outer plastic was rubbed off, which is now insulated with tape. Does not affect performance in any way.

The newer version of this retails for £389 online

This also has 3 years warranty from Jan 2014, which I am happy to help with if required.

A bargain at just £175.00 inc delivery All in original box ready to go

Thanks

PAUL

Any offers?

Hi,

Just out of interest, why are you choosing the remapping over the box?

I've got a Superb with that engine and am debating which way to go...

I have read lots of good things about remaps, if done properly, so thought I would like a more permanent solution once the car is out of warranty.

The box is good, and whilst in warranty, is a great alternative as it can be removed, but as my car was in and out of the dealer for various issues, It was beginning to be a pain to keep removing.

Have had it done today and so far all good

Sounds good. My Superb will be out of warranty in a few weeks so will probably go the same route.

Do dealers get sniffy about servicing/working on a car with a remap, or are they generally OK? Completely understand why it would cause warranty problems, but I'd still like to keep my car within the dealer network as Skoda franchise rates are so competitive...

I suppose they can be, depending on if in warranty. If outside of warranty then I would imagine they would do as told by customer?

I will be using another dealer from now on as they will allow me to bring own oem parts and just charge for labour @ £90 hr - works out at £45 for oil change and £162 for full service

fyi my ECU had to be removed to be reprogrammed, so your may well be the same?

Cheers

Were those rates just for the labour costs? How much would the parts bill be? The fixed price servicing is £139 & £259 so trying to work out is its worth going outside the network...

Thanks

Still here

Hi Paul,

Is this the box with one connection or two? I presume one given the power upgrade.

Also, unfortunately DTUK have said that the warranty is not transferable...

Still interested, but just thinking through a couple of options...

its got the 2 conections, boost and common rail, the power quoted in op was my estimates, but obviously underestimated the figures from DTUK

if you had any issues I would be happy to sort out for you

thanks

Hi Paul,

Not going to be for me right now, unfortunately. My insurance won't touch me with a power boosting mod, and as I have claimed already in this policy year, I'd essentially have to forgo the remaining 8 months insurance I have left (with no refund) and take out an all new policy immediately, which isn't worth it.

So I won't be looking at performance mods until the back end of this year when the insurance is up for renewal.

GLWTS anyway, and sorry we couldn't do business - its a cracking price for box thats only a few months old...

No problem, my insurers, Chris Knott, only wanted an extra £50

Good luck with whatever you decide to do
