Removal of boot side wall carpet

Hi all, I need to get to the back of the 12volt socket in the boot and was hoping that anyone had any tips on how to remove the side wall carpet to gain access to it, I don't wantbto go at it like a bull at a gate as it feels well fitted and I'm struggling to work of how its held in.

Is it a hatchback or estate model? I've done this on the estate.
