My poor Octy VRs :(

On cold startup, this happens.

Have tried cleaning the TB and aligning it with VCDS

Unplugged the MAF and it ran even worse so Ive eliminated that as a possible problem

Where to go from here?

Leaving the car to idle for 5 mins seems to clear it, and it runs reasonably smooth. Although when I press the accelerator it still hunts a little bit...

Coolant temp sensor is always a prime suspect for cold start up problems, one of the most common failures on VAG cars, & quite often doesn't throw a code. Have a look in VCDS engine measuring blocks to see what the ECU is getting from the CTS.

funnily enough one of the error codes was for CTS which I have ordered a new one.

How do I test it with VCDS? Im scared of pressing a button and my car blowing up lol
