octavia vrs eml problem

Featured Replies

Hi guys I'm looking for some advice and knowledge of what a problem could be with my car.

I have a 56 plate octavia vrs TFSI

I have recently topped up my oil the other night only 1 litre as it was pretty empty. The next morning I was driving to work and I put my foot down and just as the turbo is going to kick in the engine management light started flashing and the car was juddering/jerking then i took my foot off slightly so it wasnt so high on revs then the car was fine and i drove like that the rest of the way and the ligh went off. however after finishing work and driving home the problem still occurs. The car idles fine, i have also tried checking the coilpacks but i cant do them all individually due to the cables being restricted.

The car drives spot on until you want the turbo to kick in and problem starts again, does anyone know what the problem is or had it happen to them?

Thanks

Kyle

Split hose maybe? In an old car I had similar probs when the intercooler hose had a large split. It went into limp mode when you put your fout down

Is there a particular way to find a split hose?
