What OBD Bluetooth Adapator

Featured Replies

I am thinking of getting a OBD bluetooth adaptor and Torque pro, any recommendations as to what one to buy ? Budget Max  £10.00.

Will be using it with my 2004 130 PD,

Thanks

Pot luck mate, I've bought 2 and neither have worked. Just look for a UK seller, it will make returning it a lot easier.

They're the ones, I've not had success with but others have. The V is just the update I think, pretty sure either would work. OBD2 is the important bit. You could try Amazon as well they may have more tried and tested versions.

Way I see it is they're cheap enough so worth a try, but don't be surprised if you have to try a few before one works. Some just refuse to talk to the ECU, others are ignored by the blue tooth scan. When you set them up try changing the order of doing things, plug in, search, ignition, try engine running etc. There is a standard code that opens them up, often 0000. In the reviews on Amazon there was some good info about set up.

I bought a code reader off ebay but it isnt one of those in the links. Its great works really well its found codes on my sons punto and his girlfriends lupo.

I'll post a pic up i highly recommend them.

I have a cheap as chips ELM327 Bluetooth dongle. I got one from a UK seller and it worked first time, luckily. However, it did once light up the dash like a christmas tree on my Octavia when plugged in, but turning the car off and back on again sorted it.

Having some bother with pics.

Same as mine. Very good these I've never had any problems.

That's the one I've got.

A word of warning, iPhones do not in any way support generic Bluetooth readers so if you have one or are thinking of getting one, get a wifi dongle instead.

Yes my mistake forgot to mention I'm using an android phone. Works great.

I got a cheap one off of eBay, and Torque Pro, out of necessity as I owned an Alfa at the time lol

It mostly works fine, I just leave it plugged in all the time. Every now and then the bluetooth on my phone doesnt pick it up, so I have to unplug it and plug it back in, but tbh I think it might be the phone as it does the same occasionally with my head unit too
