ok so i am still confused on this topic and thank to all those who have helped so far i promise i wont go over this again afterwards 

 

i have just bought a new 15 plate  roomster with bob basic swing radio 

 

initially i was looking at RCD310 with dab 

 

just received a unexpected bonus from work (thank you boss if your reading this) and now going to plump for a RCD510 DAB 

 

found a seller on EBAY who is selling UK spec models made in portugal not the chinese ones 

 

• Dab aerial aside will it be the same physical shape and fit the dash using the existing fascia trim

• i keep reading that earlier cars are only canbus 1.6 and hence the unit turns off after an hour and will not turn off when the key is taken out is that the case with my vehicle and require the adaptor or will o be ok
