strange problm with the lock and windows

Featured Replies

driving the car this morning ,i pressed the button for the driver's window to open but the passenger window opened.then i pressed the passenger window button but the driver's window opened, then i noticed the automatic door locks hadn't locked on drive off.

i pulled over pushed the drivers door locked down, then opened it again, checked the window buttons and everything was fine.when i drove off the automatic locks went down as normal .

is there something wrong with it or just a computer glitch ?

thanks

Mines done that before, just switch off and start again. Has also been posted before somewhere

Yep, fairly common spurious fault with CANBUS electrics. Turning off ignition, leaving it for at least 30 seconds and starting car up again ought to do the trick.

Had a problem myself with passenger window a couple of weeks back where this didn't do the trick, and had to pull out and replace the corresponding fuse - then it worked!

If you end up needing to do that, you may need to reset the 'one touch' function, which should be covered in the manual in the section about disconnecting the battery.
