Glowplug light flashing

Featured Replies

The glowplug light on my Octavia. TDI is flashing. Never having had a diesel car before what does it mean and what do I need to do to fix it. Car runs OK otherwise

The flashing glowplug can represent a number of failures.

The only way to know for sure is to get the car scanned. This will reveal a fault code.

Once you have the fault code search for it here...

To read the fault code you have three choices:

1) Get a local Skoda dealer or trusted independant dealer to do it.

2) Find a member with VCDS local to you in Scunthorpe...

3) Buy one of these for £5.00 and download the Carista App...

Its not flashing all the time so it seems to be an intermittent fault. Sorry I should have mentioned that first

Next time it flashes get someone to check the brake lights...
