hand polishing hard to access places, what do I need

Featured Replies

title says it all really. Will be detailing the motor in the next few weeks and fancy reducing the faint scratches inside the handle wells and anywhere else I cant get to with a DA. What should I be using? I have one or two of the german applicators which seem quite firm and I have a sonax 04/06. Worth picking up anything else with my current order?

use these Farecla applictor pads thet are brilliant for removing scratches by hand in hard to reach places, white for polish, black for wax  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/290659821051?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&chn=ps&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108

they certainly look interesting :)

use the 04/06 or use a polish more appropriate for hand polishing?

I have used the same with their scratch remover with has deminishing abrasives in it. In the really tricky places I've also used an old mf cloth instead of the applicator with good results

I tend to use a digit or two over a microfibre cloth for handwells.  Damn wedding ring marks usually.  I tend to go in hard with compound and then rub in something like megs 205 to try and even it out a little.  Usually improves it, but can never get the results a machine would get.

Some polish..Medium/Hard cut on a MF cloth around the fingers works well..easier then a hand polishing pad around door handles

I use one of those Farecla pads on other areas you cant get a Machine pad into
