Milltek resonated vs non resonated

Featured Replies

heres a video of my full 3" turbo back milltek system resonated vs non resonated

http://youtu.be/7AKBO0cij4o

Had a non-resonated Milltek on my vRS TFSI. Was absolutely fine on the standard downpipe. However, once I fitted a 3" downpipe with sports cat it became too loud; so fitted the resonated centre section. Now it's just right.

See in the next few months i will be getting the res system fitted did it help your cars with extra power?

It definitely helped the turbo spool quicker and sooner without the restrictive precat straight off the turbo. Also the 200 cell sports cat (I think 600-800 standard) and larger diameter pipe allows more boost as you get exhaust gasses out the back faster. On its own the cat-back made little to no difference. The downpipe without stage 2 being mapped made the car feel more responsive. However once the stage 2 map was put on, it was a different ball game.
