Constant misting of monte fogs

Featured Replies

Has anyone come across a fix for this ?

I've taken mine out 4 times now to dry them out! The drivers side seems to be worse for it causing droplets to form over time!

All the seals on the back and round the cover look fine?

Is it going to be a case of going crazy with the silicone ?

Thanks

Az daft as it sounds you should think about perhaps drilling an air hole to allow tbe moist air to escape. Just obviously think about it first as you dont want to create a water inlet.

Id suggest at the bottom of the unit

I mentioned this to the dealer before I bought mine. They said it is normal. Its part of the 'open' design which let's air flow in and out. They could of course just been talking rubbish!

I did think of drilling a small hole somewhere to see if it helps, I've seen a few other montes about and the fogs didn't seem to be misted up :(

Before ever Sealing with Silicone,  you dry everything then use 'Red / Rubber Grease', (non Petroleum)

or even Silicone Grease.
