The on screen aerial will depend on the area you live. I never had any luck getting decent signal, so have ended up with another solution. On the Roomster, and soon to be fitted to the Fabia that replaced it, I replaced the Skoda antenna with a Calaero one with built in DAB. On the superb, I swapped the GPS / phone sharksfin, with a VW AM/FM/DAB/GPS/Webasto fin and rod. On another car I have, I used a through glass rod, that looks a bit like a long mobile phone antenna. All of these worked for me much better than any of the on glass versions I used.
