I bought a mfsw from a mk1 superb as it looked exactly the same as my Octy and nobody seems to know if it would fit. Wheel is fine but airbag connection is different. Does anyone know if the slip ring off a superb will fit as seems to be the cheapest logical resolution.

Its easily done,I've cocked up like that when I've seen things at a bargain price.Its par for the course

I seem to be doing a lot of it! ok so the only thing I am missing as far as I can tell is the wiring for the mfsw. I am wondering if I could take it off the airbag of the superb airbag and add it to the octavia airbag. They are the same bar the connections that go into the slip ring. I have 4 wires from the mfsw plug, two go to what look like earth prongs and two into the slip ring plug. One is pink and white one black. If I could get the pin out for the octavia maybe I could add them?

The connector for the octavia slipring, it fits the wheel fine and locating lugs line up perfectly.

The superb airbag to slip ring connector (yellow) and MFSW control plug (black) as you can see its half the size. I have ringed in red the spade type connectors. there are two other wires from the black plug one pink one black

The octavia slip ring connector, as you can see the airbag lacks the MFSW connector. I am guessing as the slip ring  came off a car with the MFSW however the slip ring has the required wiring (the steering angle sensor, steering module also came from the same car)

 

Attaching the spade connectors is easy enough, my problem is finding out the pin positions for the two what i presume are control wires. 

I hope i am explaining this right :/

I essentially need to know which of these pins in the slip ring are for the mfsw controls. I have a pink and white wire and a brown wire. Any help at all at this stage would be awesome

Ok it seems I need a new loom part sourced thanks to VW sites...panic over
