battery to boot

Featured Replies

Has anyone moved the battery to the boot. I'm after doing it to allow me more room for my occ and intercooler pipework when I get round to buying one lol. What was involved and how did u route it?

You don't need to relocate battery for an intercooler. I'm running a BIG welly intercooler and large pipework with battery still in original location.  It's more hassle than it's worth relocating battery imo, on this car.  You need a proper sealed box for it to vent the overcharge gases or you have to invest in a pricey fully sealed unit.  I had a go at relocating but abandoned it in the end.  You need some serious thick gauge wire because of the length of the car, it's a pain to run through the car, if you don't go thick enough the battery won't even be able to turn the starter.

U got pics of the installation? What size pipe u use? Are u running a occ? If i Can get away without moving the battery that would be good

If you are running CAI put catch can behind battery, read Rob's site for a rough idea,

Other option is to put it on the fire wall where the small relay box is put the two relays in the cable trunking, and use the relay bracket to mount Catch can, think GeeVRS and Bowders have done this, quick search will help.
