Hi Everyone 

 

Looking to change the Bolero in my mk2 Octavia vrs for the Kenwood DNX DAB . is it a straight swap or will i need to make some changes . 

I've changed mine for a dnx525 dab . Had to buy a new surround but that was it

Can i ask where you bought the surround from , i called my local skoda dealership today and they could't help 

Skoda dealer it's the same shape as columbus one as the kenwood head unit is made for it .

Mine is the one with climate control

Should be plug and play but you'll need the surround and some skill to route the DAB aerial  to the windscreen pillar. You'll be delighted with the improvement in sound quality.

Thanks for the replys guys , i will get back on to skoda tomorrow and see if i can order one ,   Hopefully they will have the carbon look affect ones on stock .

Thanks for all the advise guys  new kenwood has been fitted today , loving the dab radio and the sound quality 

 

Was a little shocked at the price of the fascia from the skoda .  

The price of the dash trim to accommodate the dnx525 is crazy. Can anyone suggest any cheaper route or is it just a case of swallowing the cost?
