is there a different front ashtray from any of the other vag cars that will fit in a octy mk1 and has a cig lighter in it .i cant find where to put my phone when it is on charge other than the coin holder,which wont be there when i fit the arm rest this week. thanx.jon :confused:

Why not fit a power socket just along from where the diag socket is. Or hard wire a phone charger into the fuse box.

Where can you get power sockets from? I need a socket near the front to power my gps pda.

I charge my phone with it sat in the arm rest. Simply close the lid onto the cable.

Or you can use the cup holder (depending on phone shape/size)

I stuck a 4 way adaptor in the passenger footwell round the corner from the centre of the dash and hid the cable and ran it into the back of the ciggie socket, it runs my mobby charger, bluetooth headset, led torch and my TR-30. If you hard wire as much as poss it looks fine.
