Do I take the plunge and bid? and then forgo the car wrap, or the more sensible option, walk away and find a different project thats nearer home??

The bloody wife's not much help, as she says ' I can understand you getting this, but not getting a stupid bloody wrap' why oh why can't she be consistent? and just hate everything I want to do.

IIRC (and I'm not saying I do) there may be more to this ad than meets the eye.

• Matthew Curtis I went through rather a lot of HMRC Customs pain because whoever imported mine never declared the NOVA and, only because I was OCD with my paperwork, I managed to avoid a huge fine because of the delay between import date and declaration date. I hope this one has been sorted........................

• John Shelley When exactly did the Nova system start ? In other words, if this guy can prove that the vehicle was driven to UK legally in 2010, might that be a get-out ?

• Milan Sylwia Simonides I have sold mine on ebay in much better condition for £1100. I think. No problems with registring in UK at all easy process

• Pete Andrews It only came into force in April last year, I'm assuming you have your mb UK registered?
  Mine came into the UK in 2012, I have no proof of this other than the date of sale on the sk logbook.
  I'm not worried about it particularly, just going to be a lot of faffing about on their part I expect.

Thanks Lee, looks like I'll either spend a bit more and get the 60's Octavia or look for something closer. Anything I buy will be registered then sorn'ed and stripped and renovated.
