  2. 2006 Fabia 1.2 12v Sport, 84k on the clock, car is mechanically impeccable and wants nothing. Was used to commute for a year but gets little use anymore. Doing about 1000 miles a year now. 3. Id say number one is a pad wear sensor out, either replace relative pad or even just loop the pad end wiring to prove this at fault. Bulb wise first thing id do is scan with vcds / professional grade code reader, check which light is at fault. Replace bulb and clean and check connections then go from there is best i can suggest.
  4. Ahh not so much if it’s intermittent but used to see a lot of people forgetting to plug them in after service
  5. Had a water in fuel warning since you bought it mate?
  6. Ive just put a clutch in my 187k Octy, first clutch its had. Always been motorway miles until I bought it. Been towing miles since so hard work. As long as it’s not been abused it’ll be fine
  7. Has anyone ever attempted to retrofit electric heated mirrors to a manual mirrors car? Are they plug and play? Many thanks
  8. Iirc there was an update available for some of the transmission control units.
  9. Done the whole combo thing, wasn't too bad until 90k then literally rebuilt it but this was a really abused van bouncing up farm tracks. Personally I'd go for a 1.7cdti as 1.3 is a heap, 1.7Di is a bit sluggish, 1.7dti was a pretty good lump just got to watch the edu solders crack up and cause starting issues. Other than that it's just the usual corsa water leak issues etc. Got a Caddy, 1.6tdi had a few initial injector problems, but since sorted has been an awesome van now with 90k on it. Just suffers typical wear. Just look out for waterpump history on it. Also they are factory fitted with an smf so no pesky dmf problems unlike combo.
  10. I wouldn’t worry excessively until it starts to go. Can keep an eye on it as it starts to detiorate by looking at damp around seams of manifold.
