A few months old now but I don't recall seeing a topic.

BBC changing technology and apparently didn't spell out precisely what the changes were going to be. Result no BBC IR service without digging and tweaking.

Many charity and disability aligned groups up in arms.

Is the BBC trying to align its "score" with the England football team.... Or Newcastle Utd.

I purchased 2 stand alone internet radios, the wonderful OXX DiGITAL model. I travel to Spain a lot so it useful for listening to my local UK station - Radio Lancashire & also Smooth radio.

I noticed that all my BBC stations only played a recorded message saying "this platform is no longer available" Ie AAC & WMA streaming.

I did manage to download new Codecs off Oxx Digital site & all is now OK.

Typical of the BBC though to go it alone with non-standard formats & not bother to either consult with or inform the manufacturers or its listeners.

I welcome the day that this bloated left wing biased, out-of-touch organisation is dismantled & replaced with one more accountable to the end user

Surely just claim a new ipad/iphone compatible radio from expenses like BBC execs do?

I bet whatever was done it stayed compatible with the Apple apps.
