Another new VRS!

Featured Replies

Been registered on the site for a while but never got round to saying hi. Picked up the car yesterday, its an 05 plate ex-demo one in silver. Its great, such a step up in power from my old astra 1.8! Anyway ive got a couple of questions:

I saw in the manual that you can get a phone adaptor thing that fits in next to the stereo, does anyone know how much these are and how easy it is to fit? Secondly, is there anyway to connect an iPod to the standard head unit, as i like that fact i don't hav t fuss around with taking the face plate off, and the sound is fairly good for a standard unit.

Many thanks

Matt

Congratulations on your purchase! I'm another ex-Astra owner, I only had a 1.4 though!

For that price i think i'll get a new head unit, as im sure SQ will be better and will mean i can add amps and stuff when i decide to re-build my system. Any ideas on the phone holder? I think you can also get cup holders for the same space, anyone any idea on price of those?

Yeh the astra was killing me on fuel consumption, ive been driving the Furby pritty "enthusiastically" and ive got more MPG than i got out the astra even on a long run! Can't wait til the economy improves once its run in. How accurate is the average mpg thing on the computer? Sorry for all the newbie questions, but thanks for the help so far.

Matt
