FJW FSM codes and yes diff can be swapped over but need to check the shimming in new box. I was lucky when I swapped as no shim adjustment required at all. Pleasantly surprised.

Ebay is your best bet to spot one as most, who know about such things, won't sell them. I love mine now and getting more MPG than before and the ability to go to 110 in 4th is lovely, Castle Coombe.

Only 110?  What''s your limiter set at?    I was buzzing 120 with more to go on the approach to quarry.  It was about 4900-5000rpm though.

4.5, yours is slightly more modded than mine spec wise. Even at that I had to back off quite a few times due to oil temps sky rocketing, so oil cooler (as per our last conversation) is definitely the next step. Well bar a few things I am looking at doing myself soon.

They only really came on the early 6 speed Ibiza and Fabia vRS so age wise you're looking at 2003 / 2004.  Even then you might not find the code is the long box.

Hmm... I 100% noticed a very clear difference on my 2004 (54) Fabia Vrs going to a 2007 Seat Ibiza FR, had to change my driving style completely.

General driving I don't think I noticed on mine, but I believe 1 2 and 3 are the same but final drive makes 4 5 and 6 really long.  The jump from 3rd to 4th is perhaps most noticeable.

Nice bit of fact gathering done by someone on TDIclub.  Do the math and 5000rpm in 4th should be 123 - 124mph.  Trouble is when you are doing 120+ at Castle Combe the last place you want to look is the speedo.

I had the luxury once but mine was 50k. No longer with the trade policy anymore so private it is!
