Camber question

Recommended Posts

Hi was servicing the car yesterday and discovered that on the rear I'm scrubbing the inside of both rear tyre's. I've lowered the car a small amount as still on standard wheels with 225/45/17 so my question is does anyone know if by using rear camber shims how far I need to go to get the wheels at the correct camber that they run true and wont scrub many thanks

Isn't it quite common for octavias/golfs to scrub the inside rear? possibly underinflation, possibly rotate fronts to rear assuming wear isn't ridiculous. I'm sure a google will reveal a lot :)

A -1 degree camber shim will kick the top of the ture in approx 5-8mm ish

But when adding a camber shim u need to correct to with toe shims

The caliper needs alligning with washers also :)
