Best Settings For Dragon Tuning Box?

Featured Replies

About to order a Dragon digital tuning box for my Vrs and wondered if anyone knows the best settings for the unit. I'm after a good balance of power without the extra smoke.

I believe they come set at 11 as default and can go up to 16. Any comments on the unit & setting recommendations would be appreciated.

What year is your car? I have an '04 Octy with the PD130 engine and I had trouble with the ECU and ASR lights coming on.

I tried mine on 11 and the smoke was pretty bad so I backed it off a little.

I also cranked it right up and the car was fast as fook but it smoked like a traction engine.

I had mine on setting 9 and it gave a decent compromise. I had to take mine off in the end .

i had mine set on 16 and i was lucky, no smoke just a rapid car!!

Jammy git! :D

It's a 54 plate registered January this year. I have to admit I'm a bit put off by your comments. I thought I'd have no problems with warning lights etc. when using a digital tuning box over analogue. Also concerned about the smoke level too.

i started on 11 for a couple of days then went up to 13 and had the extra smoke issue. but then got used to the extra power and performance and have been increasing the levels slowly up to 16 where i am at now. it seams the ecu learnes after some time with the over fueling and now i hardly see any smoke, but could be due to the weather getting colder ( some how ???) also not as powerful as when first cranked it up to 16 but still more powerfull then standard and the car now does 0-60 in 7.5 secs and have timed it to 100 in 17 secs. it's a good buy, good performance and very easy to remove.

being running it at 16 for about one and a half months over all for about three months and had no warning lights or faults. oh and my car is a 54 plate fabia vrs.

The ECU/ASR light issue is VERY rare so I wouldn't worry too much, I know alot of people have these boxes with no problems.

After trying most settings I`v come to the conclusion the stock settin 11 is best,it gives a big gain with no smoke, after that there is a more impressive gain but at the expence of black smoke,it all depends if you can live with smoke, I cant!I still have mine in the garage after getting revo`d if sombody comes pick it up they can have it for 150

Anyone with an 55 reg had trouble with any warning lights? Do you get fault codes that the dealer would pick up?

I can't afford a remap but want more speed :(

this light came on mine today and i dont know why?

the box is putting to much diesel in its clugging up your cat ?? do u get a lot of smoke when u put your foot right to the floor?

if its a digital it shouldnt cause and lights to come on. usualy the analogue ones that do that.
