I Think that was posted before, they are not the same engines with different ECU's, I Saw Some Diagrams (In German ) That Shows all the differences, quite alot though, probably cost alot to do.

Having Said That, Unfortunatley if you want an Automatic, That's All You Can Have. At least on The Octavia and Superb You Can Get A Assortment of Different transmissions with small and large engines (including Diesels). Loads of Small Cars Have got CVT or Tiptronic transmissions now, The Fabia Seems To Have been forgotten about in that department.

Unfortunatley Not, All I Know is that it has nothing to do with the 75&100HP 1.4's that are VW Sourced whereas the 1.48v Is A Modified Skoda 1.3 and is an OHV Pushrod design :confused: , I'd be grateful for some diagrams on that myself
