aux

Featured Replies

just starting to use my ipod through aux port and very happy , will be going away from cds soon lol

couple of questions does the aux port charge the ipod , do i have to turn ipod off everytime i have finished , ie will it drain the battery or does the aux port turn off when car is locked , silly questions i know but thanks in advance

Aux port only carries audio so doesnt charge the ipod - it's battery will drain if it's left playing. You need a separate charger if you want to do that

Best bet is a combined lead like this

Plug into the aux input and a USB charger, the other end into the dock port on the ipod - it'll do both charge and audio output then (better quality that way too). Just make sure the charger is in a lighter socket which turns off with the ignition
