Get it looked at ASAP. Will need fault codes reading.

Never second guess brakes, but dont panic you will allways have regular braking.

Sounds eerily(sp) like my symptoms at the moment. But I've checked the codes and I know what I need to fix them (pretty much anyway)

devonutopia: I have great respect for you trying to put your car together! It's been like reading a rights of passage on here! lol..... hope you get it all sorted in the end!

I have this problem at the moment, since I mashed a brake caliper slider-bolt thread on the hub carrier and decided to replace it with another off a non-ABS car (divot). There's a fault code coming from the NSF sensor and the warning lights are on. The car still stops pretty well though.

If you slam the brakes on, the ABS will kick in - sometimes a lot, sometimes not. When the car come to a stop, if you still have the brake pedal depressed, you can still feel the ABS pump cycling slowly. It's odd, but I've been told it's safe. I just leave lots of room to stop!
