Winter tyres or CrossClimate tyres

Featured Replies

In local tyre shop at weekend and saw advert and sample tyre for  Michelin CrossClimate tyres.

Apparently very new to UK market but I thought they looked interesting as it’s a tyre that’s good all year.

In theory it would save having to have separate winter / summer tyres - although would still probably change wheel to protect the alloys.

Anyone know any thing about these ?

I think there will be quite a few manufacturers bringing out their own versions of all season tyres that work closer to the summer & winter tyres they replace. Nokian announced their new Weatherproof tyres a few months back - http://www.nokiantyres.com/winter-tyres/nokian-weatherproof/ - no introduction date yet, but presumably this year.

As to the CrossClimates I've seen lots of mentions for them, but no real world reviews - too new for those yet.
