  1. Thanks all, think I'llm stay with Skoda for time being
  2. Hi all, Coming to end of 3 yr new car warranty so looking around for an aftermarket one. I have checked Skoda and their price seemed competitive much to my surprise. I compared with Warranty Direct who I have used in the past and always found very good. Just wondering if any one has any experience or recommendations ? Thanks
  3. Anyone out there managed to improve the light output of their reversing lights by fitting aftermarket bulbs ? I have fitted the SuperSkoda.com INTERNAL tail gate lights and they are fantastic, just hoping to find a similar upgrade for the external reversing light. Thanks
  4. I have the same issue but can never figure out what I do to get me into the situation. Typically it seems to happen just after I start the car. Thanks knocker235 for the workaround, will try it next time it happens. I am using the latest AA GUI an still get the issue.
  5. Exact same poproblem here on a 2½ year old car. Took it into dealer, they said they found a fault in one of the control boxes for the park assist system and ordered another one under warrentee. On picking the car up (before the warrentee repair) all worked as normal and continued to do so. Had the box replaced anyway as they had ordered it in. To me it seem like there may have been a loose / dirty connection somewhere that when techs disconnected and then reconnected sorted the problem. I do not have a tow bar fitted.
  6. yep, just had the virtual pedal sensor changed for the second time (under warrentee) and works fine again. Mine is a 17 model and fail after around first 6 months of ownership from new.
  7. Google maps on android auto has Satellite view if that helps along with live traffic etc Not only that, its free
  8. I have a cream interior with panoramic roof, interior is very light and feels a lot bigger than a dark interior. Agree that it is a surprisingly easy colour to keep clean as it does not show dust. Each month I go over the front seats with Simonize leather cleaning wipes as these will remove any colour blue etc that may come off of clothing. Nearly 3 years in and no signs of cracking or discolouration. I had ventilated seats on my earlier 63 plate L&K but was not convinced by them. The leather has to be perforated so the air can get out and I wondered if just having perforated leather would cause the same effect as air would naturally move through the seat base due to the movement of the person sitting on it. Certainly would not pay extra for ventilated seats.
  9. Thanks penguin17, yep have tried all combos of pressing buttons on the key but the sunroof will not budge. Windows go up and down fine.
  10. My 2017 L&K will open and shut the tailgate with the key fob at across the car park distances - using the Click - release - Click HOLD method. Can even stop and start part way though travel of tails gate (confuses the hell out of other half). Yet I cant shut the sun roof with the key if I forget to close it before I leave the car - that frustrates me.
  11. Brockysuperb, I sold my MkII to a friend of mine and we keep in touch. He has recently had exactly the same issues as you with the operation on the rear boot door struts. When he bought the car from me he took out an aftermarket warranty as there were so many electrical systems (L&K estate with sunroof, TV etc). The dealer diagnosed the struts as failing so he had them replaced, fine for a short while then symtoms reappeared, dealer then dignosed a "circuit board" so that was duly replaced, then part of the loom as a slight chaife was found. I think todate the repair bill has been around 1300 - pleased to say the warranty co have picked the bill up no questions asked :-) and at present boot lid is working as it should. What amazed us was that the dealer was certain it was the struts, but it turned out not to be the case - the car has been off the road for at least a day each time the dealer fitted another part and now he has no faith that the problem is finally solved. Every press of the boot release raises his blood pressure ! Good luck, I hope you get yours sorted Smudger
  12. Thanks for the info, you understood correctly. I can imagine that having the pliers as described would make the job a lot easier. As I had a complete new visor assembly, in the end I finished up having to break the old clip assembly and removing the clips from the roof. Once the plastic holding the fixing spring clips in place had been removed the clips were easily removed. Refiting the new visor took all of 5 seconds and that included connecting the flying lead for light and ensuring the foam sleeve coverd the connector to prevent rattles !
  13. Hi, can you help me ? Need to change sunvisor due to mirror cracked. Have removed trim clips from existing unit but can't figure out how to remove actual visit. Looks like it should just pull out but that seems not to be the case. I have new complete visit to fit.
  14. Mine failed after about 3 months from new, dealer had it back, fitted new sensors as shown above and since then Nija swipe works everytime :-)
  15. Wow, thought it was just me - my drivers mirror has smashed also - not sure when or how it happened - how do you smash a sunvisor mirror - I still wonder. Dealer told me you could not just but mirror so need whole new sun visor - think whole bill came to around £60 including fitting by dealer which was around a 15 min job.
