Mk2 Pre FL Octavia VRS

Featured Replies

Hello

Well i thought it might be a good idea to start a project thread about my car.

It was a standard petrol VRS 10 months ago when i bought it, i am currnetly the 2nd owner from new.

My plans are to just improve on the things Skoda have done.

So far i have instaded LEDs where i can, Carbonspeed intake with K&N panel filter, Audi caps in engine bay and a few other little bits :)

Heres the pics

Should point out that its been washed polished and waxed today

Stainless brake lines

Forge turbo inlet hose

Finish the carbon hoses

Whiteline anti roll bar

Miltek cat back res system to fit

Looking amazing! With regards to the extra sound deadening, have u just doubled up on the insulation material?

Not really its a standard thing on the diesels and some other models plus it tidies up the underside of bonnet

Well I think it has helped the noise on tick over but it's not that loud any way :)

Also what about the extra heat it keeps in. Thought petrols worked best when cold?

Can't really see how much diff that makes to temp of engine it's not made anything diff to mine but HAS help with noise :)

Plus it tidies up the under side of bonnet :)

Well just a small update....

Just come off the phone to Al at GTI and my miltec here!!!!!!!

Just ordered some R8 packs

SO

That means I can get car booked in now for everything fitting and sorting now :)

Which milltek did you go for res or non res?

  • Author

The res one I didn't want it balls out noise :-/ I am a bit old for that now!!

I got the res one and its just right.

Slightly deeper on tickover, nice and quiet when normal driving and sporty sounding when you put your foot down.

Good choice

Cracking finish on the Black Magic paint  :sun:  B)

Nice upgrades there too!

Only comment on the project thread title - should it read 'Pre FL' instead of preface?
