Can't start the engine after fuel filter replacement.

Featured Replies

Hi

On mi old Fabia 1.9TDi PD i never filled up the new filter with diesel and never got any problem but on the octavia non PD engine i cant start it since i have replace it. It started up first time but then it died and now i cant start it anymore. Went to petrol station to get some diesel to fill up the filter but even after manny attempts no luck. Battery is getting flat now and the engine still wont start.

O-rings were replaced together with filter and new hose clamps were fitted but no luck.

Any other sugestions please.

Or someone near Castle Donington who could help me out.

after you replace the filter you start the car and keep it reved at 2000rpm at least fot 10 seconds....

But now is too late....it will start eventualy, few more cranks like 10-12 and will gave up

Thanks for trying to help me, if i would look at the topic earlier i would borrow your charger but when i spoke to mi friend today at work he has offered me a help to jump start mi car so now i am back and running. Obviously i have drove the car for about an hour up and down the motorway to charge the battery and bought a battery charger so i am ready in case i f*** up  something up, again.

Thanks
