need cooling hose reference (Octavia Combi 1.6TDI CR FAP)

Featured Replies

Hello,

One of the hoses in my engine's cooling circuit has developed a needle hole and requires replacing. It's an easily accessible hose (from underneath the car, it's behind the engine; reinforced rubber?) but my mechanic appears to have some trouble to obtain the exploded view he needs to identify and order the exact reference.

Is the specification given in the subject title enough to point me to such a diagram which I can then forward to my mechanic, or is such information not available publicly at all? (The site I usually offer parts from here in France, oscaro.com, doesn't carry any hoses at all...)

BTW: is it true that these hoses have to support up to or even more than 7 bar or pressure?

Thanks,

René

That looks like a great site, thanks!

I don't know how to identify the hose myself, so I couldn't give you all the required information. However, maybe you can help determine what year to pick, because with 2 entries for both 2008 and 2009 I'm having a hard time finding the right coolant circuit diagram. The car is a "Octavia (2) Combi 1.6TDI 105 CR FAP" ("Elegance"), serial number TMBGT61Z9A8010986 (hoping it's safe to post that online). There's another ID that starts with M10SKDVP but that might be specific to France. She's been put into circulation on October 21st 2009 as a lease car in the VAG network, so she might have been built in October 2009.

1 entry will be the old Octavia1 (1U), the other is the Octy2 (1Z).  The engine code probably starts with an A, B or C (AWH, BFQ, CAYC etc) and is on the build sticker in the front of the service book or in the luggage area under the mat.

Try drawing 12121, 12122 & 12124
