Featured Replies

Hello ive just got a superb my first skoda ive had petrol vws all my life but this time I felt you get more bang for ya buck with a superb its a 2003 1.9 tdi 130bhp , AWX .

Its gor full skoda service history with cambelt change at 60,000 miles its done 105,000miles now.

So do you have to do the water pump every timinh belt change ?

Not necessarily, but recommended, since you are already dismantling around it. And if you take into consideration the part cost (~ 50 Euro here), better safe than sorry...

If belt was done at main dealer at 60k then it is probably long overdue water pump change - as dealership don't do the pump as a general rule. The plastic pumps fitted from the factory are a well known source of failure.
