That's what I've just read but no it's dripping down the front of the engine block I am keeping an eye on the levels an none have gone down yet fingers crossed. It's just the dripping down the front of the block I'm concerned about lol

What colour is it?

Is it oily or not?

Do you have any local tom cats?

It's pinky colour no real smell to it but that's me I'm sure it's coolant. I've never worked in these cars before well not yet anyway my first thought was water pump it was changed 500 mile ago but it's coming from the front of the block is the thermostat on the front as I've heard the seal goes on them?

I'm not to sure about the cats mate lol

If it's pink then its coolant.

You will need to have a good look around under the bonnet and look for an leaks. There's loads of pipes around there.

Might be worth checking the expansion tank for leaks and the piping coming down from that. Might be something as simple as a loose cap.

How is the coolant level anyway?

Coolant level is fine went to the car this morning and nothing on the floor ??? But I drove it slow before stopping unlike the other day when I stopped I had a little bit of fun with a jag xf It looks damp just behind the alternator. Need to investigate when I'm off work.

Could be as simple as a poor seal on the coolant expansion tank camp.

It could have then got a bit warmer than usual following your "fun" and caused some water to be forced past the seal.

If it happens again a cheap thing to try is replacing the cap.
