Mk3 mfsw....Anybody done it?

Featured Replies

I've just fitted a mk3 mfsw VRS wheel to my PFL mk2. Everything works apart from the multi function. I know that needs coding with VCDS.

I got the corresponding slip ring for the steering wheel but the multi plug on the new slip ring is different to my current slip ring, I can't fit the new slip ring so left the original one on.

I'm assuming I can't just program the multi function whilst using the original slip ring?

By multi plug do you mean the airbag connector or the bit that goes into to the steering control module?

Where the slip ring connects to the controller. The mk3 seems to have more pins in the connector.

The airbag plugs are the same on both slip rings but the end that plugs into the controller are different. I'm doubting if I can retro fit the multi function but love the look of the wheel anyway.

I imagine you would need to change the controller. I seem to remember Eddie _nl posted something about needing a fl cluster to get it to work at all. I would message him as I'm sure there was an issue he couldn't resolve. If he couldn't sort it I doubt there is anyone else who could.
