Door protector - keep finding dents!

Featured Replies

Evening all. Does anyone have anything like this fitted to their Octy or can someone possibly point me in the right direction of sourcing them? Do they even exist?

Basically, I have a situation in my car park where some **** has opened their car door onto my drivers door strip and it's left a dent about half the size of a 5 pence piece in it. Proper fuming!!

This isn't the first time this has happened and I'm starting to become concerned as the car park where we live is for general use to Joe public so anyone at any given time will park if a space is available, day or night.

Don't know about anyone else but at the very least, if I park next to someone I will leave plenty of room and be considerate. I'm even careful to not open my door onto someone else's car as I don't want to damage mine. Call it coincidental but with the ever increasing amount of cars appearing locally (are they breeding?!) and using our car park as a stop over I feel I could end up finding more of these dents. I've had enough and want to protect my car.

So yeah, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I share your pain! I can't stand people who mistreat others' property. Drives me mad.

Not sure if there are protective products out there. Someone on here will know.

Good luck!

Car dealer I used to do work for many moons ago used to sell something like this - http://www.cmgdistributions.co.uk/

Looks a bit daft but I imagine it would work.

Cheers mate!

This may just do the trick. Yeah they look pretty obvious and may get some unwanted attention but rather it be that way than keep being paranoid about where I park the car. It's a horrible feeling walking out to it everyday wondering if a new mark has appeared. Apparently, they can be personalised and an anti theft cable comes attached that is simply locked inside the car.

I reckon the words 'Door Protector Alarm' will do the trick :)
