Total Closure

Featured Replies

hi all

can anyone tell me if it,s possible to get total closure on a fabia............controled by the remote key and not only when you turn the key in the door ?

Have you not got remote c locking? I thought all Fabias have it. Sorry if your's doesnt. I assume this is what you are asking

I think he's talking about the total closure - doors/ windows/ sunroof, this is a feature on Audis and some VWs, when you press the lock button and hold it all close, when you hold the unlock button they all open

I thought mine had it but when i tried last week it didn't :(

If this is what his asking about, then the answer is no... only the newer superbs and octy II have the remote feature of windows and doors to open/unlock or close/lock together

I got total closure today but thats a different matter

there have been some total closure modules on ebay, can't remember the seller id now?

btw Richard - got the rear lights and fitted them saturday, thanks again for the contact :)

Is it "alien tech" or something that makes kits to do this?

They make a kit for the Octy1.

I don't believe one exists for the Fabia currently (and it wouldn't work on the rear windows anyway!). I think someone was going to investigate them on this thread..........

Chris

Alientech is the way to go but be warned it renders the safety shut off function (eg neck caught in window) inoperative.

This explains the install and has link to alientech's site

thanks for all the help on this subject

however i have contacted alintech today and they say this unit was never designed for skoda only VW,s

ok i know you will all say what is a skoda if it,s not a VW ??????????

so i will go along with the advice given by you guys...........

so just a few more questions

1 is the wiring diagram given in the above link for a 2005 skoda fabia

2 where can i get a Alientech unit from ????????????

best regards

if the fabia is the same as my ibiza, with the key in the drivers door lock, hold in the lock position to close the windows, and hold in the unlock to open

yes thats right you can open em too;)

took me a year of owning the car to find that out, works on my sis arosa, her fellas leon and my dads allambra too

as for the alientech, the wiring on the ibiza is multiplexed, so if the fabia shares the wiring then the alientech WONT work

2 where can i get a Alientech unit from ????????????
From Alientech who will ship the unit worldwide for $60 inclusive of delivery. Their website is included in our Links section above - or click below:

1. The link says Octavia in it, not fabia. The alientech controller WILL NOT WORK in a Fabia, as the controllers are totally different fron the octavia's and the wiring is more advanced as it is multiplexed. Been there, done that, flogged it to an Octavia owner.

2. the links section has it if you want to buy one anyway.

... got an Octavia ;)
