Hi people some women just clipped and cracked my indicator LED in the mirror. It's an 09 pre FL how are they removed ?

Quite a few threads on this.

 

Lower the mirror glass, squeeze your fingers behind the glass and pull it off the backing plate.

 

Disconnect the electrical connectors, undo the Torx screws to release the LED cluster.

Yeah saw some threads but couldn't make out if they where talking about the same shaped led

This guy does it a little differently by removing the mirror housing. I prefer to pull off the glass...

 

When you do it, I would humbly suggest a decent LED in the puddle light too ;)

This guy does it a little differently by removing the mirror housing. I prefer to pull off the glass...

 

That mirror light is slightly different to mine but suppose cover comes off the same.

Had to unscrew my cover from behind the glass and lift the cowling off to get at the LED pretty straight forward.
