White wheels wax/sealant

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a recommendation on a wax or sealant that I can use on my white alloy wheels to make my life easier when it comes to cleaning them.

Thanks guys

The colour makes no difference at all.... luckily

Do you want durability (6 months to 2 years) or top up at regular intervals (Monthly)?

Either really I suppose dependant on price?

OK. Here are the best IMO

Durabilty is the best way to go anyway:

Carbon Collective Platinum Wheel Sealant

or

Gtechniq C5

Failing these....There are many many others

Some here:

Thanks for your reply.

I'm currently using Wonder Wheels to clean them, can I still use this or will it take off the protection?

Also, I'm looking for the easiest application as I'm a bit of a newbie - the C5 when reading the description seemed easier?

It depends which Sealant you go for

Wonder wheels is agood cleaner but not AFTER a sealant application

The two ceramic sealants  are both easy to apply

BUT

You must clean them thoroughly and pre wipe them with Alcohol or Pre Paint or the sealant will fail to bond

I would recommend FinishKare FK1000P.

Great sealant wax for alloys and paintwork. Huge pot for a bargain price:-

Add to this a weekly or fortnightly top-up with Sonax BSD spray during your wash routine.

Works well for me

I was going to buy Zaino products for mine, but decided to get FK as i can seal the car & the wheels, bonus & I think the tin will last for ever.

Good luck with the FK

Good luck with the FK

Thanks, but do I need luck? It gets good reviews & seems to last quite a while.

Planet Polish Wheel Seal and Shine

Good luck with the FK

Thanks, but do I need luck? It gets good reviews & seems to last quite a while

Figure of speech

Great choice

i'd even go further and say just buy a panel pot and if you use it purely for the wheels it will last you ages.

Rim wax used on all my cars , . Peter
