Dyeing VRS Mk2 Octavia Seats

Anyone ever done it? Im looking to make them black iv seen it a few times but never saved a good enough picture apart from this one?

 

Anyone got the know how?

 

Im sick of worrying about marking them.

Have you ever actually marked them though? Honestly my leather on the sides isn't in great shape but the white bits are like new. Personally I think they give a nice contrast because the rest of the octavia interior is quite black.

The alcantara lasted really well. It would come up like new with a bit of upholstery cleaner. I just used Tesco's stuff. Bit of a pungent chemical smell for a bit but it did the trick.

The leather does tire a bit, especially on the edges at the drivers side. Just fair wear and tear over time. A bit of leather dye would probably help there.

 

Dealer was impressed with how well the interior looked for a 7yr old car when I traded in.

I hired a rug doctor when I got my car which has a similar grey centre section on the seats. Came up a treat but the sludge that came out made me want to vomit.

Just like the idea of all black interior I think :)

Me too, I think it looks good. Autoglym do a spray dye, I was going to use it on my headliner but I can't find the other fittings like grab handles in black.

Best place to look is a scrappy for a VRS
