Road noise from BT Kit

Featured Replies

Recently installed a Skoda Premium Bluetooth module 5N0 035 730 D

I bought a loom kit from www.carsystems.pl, had it installed then coded and everything works perfectly. Was an Autospark who installed the kit.

Prob I have is my mates report alot of road noise and echoing, I drive alot of miles ( taxi driver ) and I find I'm having to use my earphones with mic to speak to mates mostly on faster roads, motorways etc.

My last taxi was a 62 seat Toledo with factory BT, never once did I have any complaints from people I spoke with on the other end.

Would this be the mic that's the problem, maybe because it isn't genuine?

Anyone?

Where have you the mic located?

On dashboard, can pick up a lot of internal dashboard noises - wipers, relays etc..

... and wind from air vents is a common prob.

Needs to be on a soft material base - fixed with spongey adhesive tape (like draught excluder type, or adhesive velcro tape ) , and good to locate on headlining / or on interior light fitting.

They're simple things - someone else might have more elaborate (or simpler ! ) suggestions.

Should have said, it's the mic that goes in the light I have. It's a copy of the kit you'd buy from Skoda, unsure if it's genuine or not but everything works as it should. Don't wanna go buying another mic from Skoda only to find out it's the same
