A chap at my work had one of these, made little difference to the performance, but lots of smoke. Then he got a TDI generic map and got much more umph and lots of smoke - but the power graph was more erratic than the heartrate of a teenager on speed ! So he went for Custom Code generic map with a touch more boost, and it is smoother but still smokey, so not sure whether it is the car or the maps !??! Either way, it was an expensive way round - lol.

id be wary of the cheaper tuning boxes, most are analogue. Youd be much better served getting a digital tuning box from somebody well known, like dragon performance. I bought one & fitted it to my fabia vRS, the results were astounding. A 20-30% increase across the rev range. My friend has a chipped toyota avensis & i took him to the cleaners.... a very very good buy. I am selling it if anyone is interested.... check out the for sale/wanted section for further details.

I can heartily recommend the Dragon box for the v6 tdi euro4.

Excellent service, communication and a good price.

Made an appreciable difference and mpg not affected if you drive as you did before. On a long cruise I'd even suggest that mpg has improved. Used the standard setting that Ade set and fitted K&N.

The Superb really is now superb

I've got a digital box on my 2.5V6 TDI. I love it. Performance is way up on the standard car and in normal driving I get slightly more fuel economy too (2-3 mpg). Cost a bit but really was worth it too me. After 14k miles in 5 months I have no problems at all....
